At Resplendent Data, we’re on a mission to empower our customers with best-in-class data visualization tools. As our platform has grown, we’ve learned at even deeper levels that true data empowerment requires rock-solid data integrity. Today we’re announcing the release of Resplendent Data 2.0—a major update focused on our commitment to data integrity, quality, and transparency.
This focus on data integrity has three phases.
Phase 1: Laying the Foundation
Spoiler Alert: This phase just rolled out.
The most important first step of this initiative was updating and reinforcing the underlying infrastructure of the Resplendent platform to improve data pipelines and performance. We’ve completely revamped our data infrastructure, migrating to the industry-standard for data pipeline reliability by using the cutting-edge Prefect framework to manage our data workflows. This gives you unprecedented visibility into the data flowing from your connected data sources.
Improved visibility was just the start. We also tackled our performance challenges head-on, converting our entire platform to run asynchronously. The result? Dashboard load times that are now lightning-fast. While we’ve always prided ourselves on fast load times, we decided that 2-3 seconds was still too slow. Now, the 50th percentile API calls are clocking in at under 8.3 milliseconds.
Our 2.0 update included tons of new features, improvements, and bug fixes that you can check out in our latest changelog entry: https://resplendentdata.com/changelog
Phase 2: New Data Integrity Features
With the groundwork laid, we’re excited to build out a suite of new features over the coming months designed to give you deeper control and transparency over your data.
First up, we’re building a new Data Validation Dashboard. This centralized hub provides an at-a-glance overview of all the integrations connected to your Resplendent account. You’ll be able to see the last time each dataset was synced, as well as the age of the oldest data point. No more guessing when your data was last updated.
Visibility of what’s working well is only half the solution, however. We’ll also be introducing a data discrepancy detection engine. This engine will continuously monitor your incoming data, identifying any inconsistencies between our records and your source data. Once identified, discrepancies are automatically evaluated and ranked with a unique algorithm to determine both the impact and resolution resource load. Some discrepancies will be automatically resolved, saving you time and headaches. If a discrepancy has a potential performance impact on either the connected data source or your Resplendent dashboard, you’ll be alerted with options for running the resolution.
For our database-connected customers, we’re taking data integrity to the next level with Change Data Capture (CDC) technology. By directly tapping into the update logs of your MySQL and Postgres databases, we can guarantee that every single change is reflected in our system—even if timestamp field updates aren’t triggered.
Phase 3: Continuous Improvement and Your Feedback
While we’re extremely proud of the data integrity features we’ve delivered in Resplendent Data 2.0 and those on the horizon, this is only the beginning. We have even more data integrity-focused enhancements already in the pipeline, and we’re committed to continuously improving and expanding our data quality capabilities.
That said, we also want to hear directly from you. What data integrity challenges are you still facing? What features would make your life easier? Let us know, and we’ll make it our mission to deliver solutions that exceed your expectations.
Welcome to the new era of Resplendent Data. Get ready for unparalleled data transparency.
