v2.18
March 12, 2025Overview
This release is packed with chart-boosting features and serious bug-squashing action. We’ve rolled out the highly anticipated funnel chart for visualizing your sales pipeline, plus powerful comparison features to see how your current numbers stack up against previous periods. Dashboard management gets a major upgrade with our new bulk filter editor and global date filter, while the modified dataset toolkit expands with copy/paste functionality. We’ve also fixed a mountain of bugs affecting everything from Excel integration to audio playback, making your dashboard experience smoother than ever. Whether you’re analyzing sales funnels or fine-tuning your widgets, this update delivers the tools you need to make your data work smarter for you.
New Chart Types
- Funnel chart! Useful for visualizing sales pipelines.
- You’ve heard of bar charts? Well, we’ve got the same thing but horizontal… Horizontal bar charts.
Compare Time Periods
Added option on widgets to compare the current value to the value this time last period (aka compare to previous mode).
Here’s an example: If you have a widget that shows the tickets closed this month, you can enable Compare Mode and show on the same widget what last month was like and the percent difference between the two.
Filter Me This, Filter Me That
- New filter variable type that lets users add a search field to any widget. Useful for situations where you want to filter a widget or group of widgets by a column that contains many unique values like the summary on a ticket or the name of an invoice.
- There’s a new bulk filter editor in dashboard edit mode. The bulk filter lets users quickly edit the filters of widgets in bulk and change filters in one UI instead of switching between widgets.
- The between dates filter now has an option to set the start day of the week. If you start your weeks on Tuesday (Idk why you’d do that), now you can.
- There’s now a global date filter on the dashboards. It’s a convenient way to quickly filter a dashboard to a specific date or date range.

v2.15
January 16, 2025Overview
This release packs a punch with some serious data handling upgrades. We’ve added powerful new tools like dataset transposition and date range filtering to your modified dataset arsenal, while giving widgets new tricks like custom value formatting and smarter date handling. Performance got a boost with faster dashboard loading and filter processing, and we’ve squashed a mountain of bugs across the platform. The cherry on top? A shiny new horizontal bar chart and some sweet improvements to sharelink creation. Whether you’re crunching numbers or building the perfect dashboard, this update makes your data work smarter, not harder.
Enhanced Data Formatting
- Widgets now have the option to add dollar signs and percent signs to the drilldown data. When a column is specified to include a sign on it, all values will have a percent or suffix sign.
- We’ve added a transpose tool to the modified dataset arsenal. Transposing a dataset can help see data horizontally on table widgets. We also added the transpose feature as an option in the widget so you don’t need to make a modified dataset to transpose data on a table widget.
Advanced Date Handling
- Filter Variables have a new date range mode. The date range mode lets users choose two columns from a dataset, start date and end date. Once the two columns are selected, each pair of dates in the dataset will become a date range to filter. This feature helps create filters for custom calendars.
- A new Truncate Date Time tool was added to the modified dataset tools. This tool lets users convert a column that contains a date and time and zero out seconds, minutes, hours, and days. Truncating time is helpful when trying to group data by time. For example, if I wanted to group all tickets entered by the hour, I could truncate the date entered column to zero out the minutes, then group by the date entered column.
New Visualizations and Controls
- A beta of the backup radar integration was added.
- There is a new option on widgets to remove filler days on widgets using date and date time columns for the x-axis. For example, if the dataset doesn’t have any records on Sunday, we normally fill the point with 0 to keep all the days on the chart. Sometimes, you don’t want to see all of the days; you just want to see the trend. This option turns off the filling functionality.
- Horizontal Bar chart. Nuff said.
ConnectWise Integration Enhancement
- Added the “source” and “campaign” columns to the opportunities dataset in the ConnectWise integration. It helps see where leads are generated and from which campaign they came.
Performance Optimizations
- Improved the sharelink creation UI to be easy to use.
- Increased load time performance for dashboards.
- Filter variable application is much faster now.
Data Import and Display
- When importing data from databases, we now can convert number columns in the format of “yymmdd” to date columns.
- Improved color contrast for the drilldown data column titles.
- Setting global colors on a dashboard allows partial matches to labels to be made.
Platform and Integration Updates
- Enhanced the template gallery cards to make it easier to find widget templates
- Added support for Safari 16.
- Organized the tools on the modified dataset editor into categories.
- The Excel integration can pull Excel files from SharePoint.

- Fixed the total value on stacked bar charts not honoring the theme color.
- Various fixes to the threshold UI for Matrix widgets.
- Sorting in the matrix widget is no longer broken.
- Date columns appear as dates instead of dates with time on table widgets.
- If a widget used a date column as the x-axis, the drilldown wasn’t splitting the data by day. Now it does.
Filters and Drilldowns
- Fixed an error that was thrown when a filter view was copied.
- Various filter variable bugs taken care of.
- Fixed a bug that prevented users from being able to select the column order of widget drilldowns.
- Adjusting columns in the widget no longer requires the user to refresh the browser for the changes to take effect.

v2.0
September 4, 2024Overview
Version 2.0 is here, and it’s a big one! This update focuses on enhancing data integrity and user efficiency with a slew of new features, improvements, and crucial bug fixes. We’ve streamlined our data pipeline, upgraded key systems to improve performance, and introduced new tools to better manage and visualize data. Whether you’re dealing with decimals in bar widgets, customizing datasets, or syncing data from various sources, this release tackles these challenges head-on to help you make the most of your data.
New Dataset Features
- Added an exclude mode to the find and replace modified dataset tool. This lets users do a blanket find and replace across the whole dataset.
- New column rename tool in the modified datasets that lets users easily rename columns or virtual columns.
- Added lock flag to modified dataset tools applied by a template. Locking the tool prevents future applications of the template from overwriting it.
- The option to disable tools in a modified dataset. This is useful for testing different tools without having to delete them completely.
- Added modified dataset tool to fill null rows with the user’s desired value.
- Added filtering to joined datasets so users can filter them before joining.
New Widget Features
- Custom calculations in the widget editor can now be filtered. A common use case is to divide the total tickets opened today by the total tickets closed today.
- Option in the widget editor to exclude columns in a widget instead of including them.
- New option to show the total above a stacked bar widget.
- Added option to limit values on matrix widgets.
- Added feature to select floating columns on table and matrix widgets so the selected columns are always visible while scrolling.
New Integration Features
- We can mark integrations as private so only specific customers can access an integration. This is useful for custom integrations we’ve built specifically for clients that shouldn’t be publicly accessible.
- Our Google Sheets integration supports shared drives now.
Platform Improvements
- Upgraded to Angular 16
- Improved our updating process to make updates more seamless and stable.
- Made our subscription page more usable.
- When subtracting numbers, we made null values act as 0.
Dataset Improvements
- To prevent confusion, the modified dataset preview now shows date times in the user’s timezone.
- We disabled the resync button on joined datasets since it didn’t do anything.
- Added the name of the connection for a dataset in the datasets table on the datasets page
ConnectWise Improvements
Added change detection to ConnectWise Invoices so that when updated, the corresponding ConnectWise time entry is updated in Resplendent.
Widget Fixes
- Fixed an issue where bars in a bar widget would disappear when a threshold was applied, and the value of the var is a decimal between the upper and lower threshold.
- Fixed an issue where copying a widget would take a while.
Dataset Fixes
- Fixed the ConnectWise Time Entries dataset so the hourly cost column isn’t always set to 0.
- Fixed an issue where the modified dataset preview randomly sends the columns in different orders.
Various Bug Fixes
- Minor bug fixes with the SmileBack integration.
- Fixed a bug where negative timestamps would cause an error when pulling data from MySQL.
- Fixed a bug where the filter variable tag at the top of the dashboard would stay even if no active filters were using the variable.
- Fixed some issues with Stemmons Quests.
- Fixed a bug where Google Sheets date time columns weren’t being formatted correctly.
- Fixed a bug where using a date column for the x-axis would format weirdly.
- Tons and tons of other bug fixes.
